First time I tried Batiste dry schampoo I fell in love, a perfect quick fix for a second day hair. But I always felt guilty about the fact that it was packaged in an aluminum can with aerosols, and that a can only lasted for three weeks. I searched the internetz for DIY dry schampoo and tried out both corn and arrowroot starch, and didn't get it at all! It didn't soak up the greasyness and gave me the look of a dustbunny. Ick!
I gave up on finding a natural and cheap alternative. Weeks later I looked up the INCI on the can. Rice starch was the magic ingredient!
I first bought rice flour at my local supermarket but found the sift too coarse for hair but good for baking. The I found out about an oriental grocery store and bought much smoother starch. Worked like a charm!
In a little jar
And a with a stipple brush from E.L.F I lightly dust my bangs and tempels.
Greasyness begone!!
