Henna nails!?

I saw a picture of nails colored with henna on instagram, they where deep ruby red and I got all exited!  So i tried it my self. First I mixed up a tiny amount of rainbow red henna with lukewarm water, waited for dye release and used a drop of tea-tree oil for some extra release and the painted the nails with a thick layer.

Before, all white and pinkish. 

Swamp monster! 

After one hour, no oxidization. 

The look: Nail disease or peeler of oranges? 

The day after with some argan oil  

After four more henna applications during the week ( with a variation of henna brands). 

Meh!!!

I had a lot higher hopes for this project. The tip of the nails just grossed me out with their yellowness probably because of the lack of flesh underneath... 

It got better with shorter nails, but with all the love for henna, this was not a pretty sight!!
